Aurora Sky, Leduc AB (Medical Marijuana Production Facility)
Overview
Aurora is building a 800,000 square foot high-technology greenhouse facility, known as Aurora Sky on 30 acres of leased land in Leduc county next to the Edmonton International Airport. It will be the largest marijuana production facility in the world upon completion. Aurora reported approximately 700,000 square feet of the steel structure of Aurora Sky has been erected, with specialty glass installed on more than 400,000 square feet of the facility, and work on the interior is progressing rapidly. Completion of the entire facility is on track for mid-2018. The first bays were completed in late 2017 and Aurora has submitted to Health Canada for final inspection and licensing. It is anticipated the first harvest will take place in Q2 of 2018.
